We recognize the time you devote to the Festival and provide as a thank-you for your service ONE FREE TICKET for each shift you work. Each shift is around 1 hour. For any volunteer who completes 4 hours (4 shifts) of volunteering, you will receive a FREE WVIFF t-shirt!
Volunteer Job Descriptions
Ticket Sales: Assist with ticket sales. Make sure patrons get the correct ticket for their purchase, including Will Call tickets. Check student ID’s for student tickets. Handle cash, check and credit card transactions. Direct patrons to ticket taker.
Ticket Taker: Assist with taking festival ticket upon entry into screening to ensure accurate box office attendance report.
Concession Attendant: Assist with snack and drink sales. Maintain inventory and a secure environment. Handle cash, check and credit card transactions.
Merchandise Attendant: Assist with t-shirt sales. Maintain inventory and a secure environment. Handle cash, check and credit card transactions.
Clean Up: Assist with picking up trash left behind after a film screening. After last screening of the day assist with packing up and stowing away merchandise and concession products.
