Farmers for America

Join the WV Urban Agriculture Conference at the WV International Film Festival’s Underground Cinema for a special screening on Tuesday, March 20th at 7 pm of the documentary “Farmers for America,” featuring West Virginia farmer Calvin Riggleman.

The average age of the U.S. farmer is 60. Half of America’s farmland is going to change hands in the next 12 years. “Farmers for America” is the story of the young people who are stepping up to lead the next generation of American agriculture. Among the farmers featured in the film is West Virginia’s own Calvin Riggleman, who operates Bigg Riggs Farm in Hampshire County.

At the screening, we’ll share information about the upcoming Fifth Annual WV Urban Agriculture Conference, which will feature Calvin as our special guest. Registration is open now!
