Showing the Film 'The Squid and The Whale'

The fun begins at 5:30 pm with a cocktail party with heavy hors d'oeuvres
and a silent auction featuring great items from Hollywood
and beyond for your bidding pleasure.

At 7 pm, join us for the Oscar-nominated film,
"The Squid and the Whale" which may have won the Academy Award
for best original screenplay by the time of the event.

It promises to be an exciting evening,
filled with the fun of good friends and great cinema.

We need your support to continue bringing films that would
never come to Charleston otherwise. We hope to see you on Saturday, March 11th!

Admission to the reception and film is $20.00 per person.

A bittersweet satiric comedy set in Brooklyn in the 1980's, Baumbach's semi-autobiographical film takes a humorous look back at the struggles of two young brothers simultaneously dealing with adolescence, the ongoing wars of their literary parents' divorce, and the thornier aspects of joint custody.
